Gontz Technology Services is owned and operated by Trevor Gontz. Trevor has long history of working with computers and designing websites. He first started dabbling with computers around 1993. This dabbling included fixing computers, upgrading computers, and creating digital artwork using software. This interest eventually grew to the point where he was building custom computers for family and friends. Having already created a couple of hobby websites, Trevor designed his first commercial website around 1995 when he setup www.darlenesellshomesinpa.com for his mother who is a real estate agent. It was this interest in technology that helped lead him into his full time career of teaching Technology Education. In addition to his bachelor’s degree in Technology Education Trevor also holds a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and a Pennsylvania Instructional Technology Specialist certificate.

Trevor’s software experience is quite extensive. He regularly uses office productivity software (Microsoft Office & Open Office), graphics programs (Adobe Photoshop & GIMP), and many other programs on Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows both at work and at home. As a result he as a very strong background in a variety of software applications on all three operating systems. In addition to desktop applications, Trevor also has experience with installing and setting up file and web servers using Apache, MySQL, and Samba on all three platforms.

Along the lines of hardware background, Trevor has experience fixing, upgrading, and building computers and setting up both wired and wireless networks.
